Privacy policy
What happens to your data when you visit this site.
This policy explains what happens to your data when you visit Vinyl Deals UK. It's written to reflect what the site actually does, which is very little.
The short version
This site does not ask you for any personal information, does not set any cookies of its own, and does not run advertising or tracking scripts.
When you click through to Amazon, you leave this site and Amazon's own privacy policy applies.
Who is responsible
Vinyl Deals UK is the data controller for the limited processing described below. For any privacy question, or to exercise the rights set out further down, contact hello@vinyldealsuk.com.
What is collected
Server logs
Like almost every website, the hosting provider records standard technical information when a page is served: IP address, the page requested, the time, your browser's user-agent string, and the referring page. These logs are generated by the web server, are used only to keep the site running and secure, and are not combined with anything else or used to build a profile of you.
Lawful basis: legitimate interests (Article 6(1)(f) UK GDPR) — operating and securing the site.
Retention: logs are held by the hosting provider on their standard rolling schedule and are not retained by us separately.
Contact by email
If you email us, we hold that message and your email address for as long as needed to reply and to keep a record of the exchange. Nothing is added to a mailing list.
Lawful basis: legitimate interests — responding to your enquiry.
Analytics
No analytics or tracking scripts run on this site.
Amazon affiliate links
Product links on this site point to Amazon and carry an affiliate tag. When you follow one, Amazon can set cookies in your browser and may use them to attribute a purchase to this site. That happens on Amazon's domain, under Amazon's control, and is governed by Amazon's Privacy Notice.
We receive only aggregate commission reporting from Amazon. We are not told who you are, and we cannot link a purchase back to an individual visitor.
Sharing
Your data is not sold, rented, or shared for marketing. The only third party involved in serving this site is the hosting provider, which processes server logs on our behalf.
International transfers
Where a provider processes data outside the UK, that transfer relies on UK adequacy regulations or the International Data Transfer Addendum, as applicable.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR you have the right to:
- ask what personal data we hold about you, and get a copy;
- have inaccurate data corrected;
- have data erased, or ask us to restrict how it's used;
- object to processing carried out on the basis of legitimate interests;
- request your data in a portable format, where applicable.
To exercise any of these, email hello@vinyldealsuk.com. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
Children
This site is not aimed at children and does not knowingly collect data from anyone under 13.
Changes
If the site starts using analytics, advertising, or a newsletter, this policy will be updated before that happens and the date below will change.
